Dodge Adds New 2020 Dodge Durango Black and Redline Factory-Options
With 2020 models possibly being the last model year for high-performance octane burning muscle cars, Dodge is pulling out all the stops to make its latest lineup as special as can be. It started off with a reincarnation of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon into the more practical 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, and then the release of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, with the addition of the Widebody package to other trims. If there is one other Dodge vehicle out there that we love, it’s the Dodge Durango SRT, able to run a quarter-mile in 12.9 Seconds, and the latest Dodge Pursuit vehicle to chase the bad guys, a couple more factory-custom options have been released for the 2020 Durango SRT.
“The numbers tell the story. As Dodge performance enthusiasts move through the Durango lineup to the fastest, most powerful and most capable American three-row SUV, they want their vehicle to stand out in a crowd…Last year, 25 percent of Durango SXT buyers chose the Blacktop Package. That jumped to more than 60 percent on the Durango R/T. Now, this new SRT-exclusive Black package gives SRT buyers an even more exclusive look and they can order it when they order their vehicle at the dealership.” – Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America
Muscle car enthusiasts, really any type of car enthusiast, loves to give their vehicle a personal touch, a custom appearance that’s their own. Not all of us are graphic artists or know a graphic artist, so it’s great when an automaker releases more options for the average consumer to choose from. Set to make its debut at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, February 8-17, it’s the Durango SRT Black with the Redline stripe.
Actually, Dodge added a Durango SRT Black package and the option to add a new Redline stripe, a full-length Satin Black center stripe with Redline Red accent tracers on each edge, and the Durango SRT on display will feature both. If consumers are just looking to add the Redline, it’s an additional $1,295 on top of the starting MSRP of $62,995 (plus destination fee). If consumers want more, then the new Black package for the 2020 Dodge Durango is complete with Midnight Grey Metallic and Gloss Black exterior accents, 20-inch by 10-inch Matte Vapor wheels, Eclipse Black Tint exhaust tips, Gloss Black mirror caps, and all kinds of badges.
The new Durango SRT Black appearance package and Redline stripe are joining an already diverse lineup of appearance options for multiple trims. For added personalization, consumers can also choose a body paint color with the Durango SRT Black and Redline stripe appearance, available in Billet Silver, DB Black, Destroyer Grey, F8 Green, Granite Crystal, Octane Red, Reactor Blue, Redline, White Knuckle, and Vice White. Sounds good, right? Even better, the new Durango SRT Black appearance package and Redline stripe will be available for preorder at Dodge and participating dealerships by March 2020.
