Continuous Growth for FCA in April
Sales of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) vehicles increased by 6 percent in April, making April 2016 a very strong month for FCA.
Of the six different FCA brands, Jeep had the biggest sales increase between April 2015 and April 2016 sales. In combination of the 131 percent sales increase in the Jeep Renegade and the 128 percent sales increase of the Jeep Compass and smaller increases in other Jeep models, Jeep saw a total sales increase of 17 percent in last month’s sales.
Though a much smaller line of vehicles, the Ram Truck brand saw a sales increase of 12 perfect in April, the brand’s best April sales since 2005. Continuing with the trend showing an increased interest in truck and SUV sales, over 41,000 Ram pickup trucks were sold in April 2016.
While sales across the line of Dodge vehicles decreased by 3 percent, the Dodge Grand Caravan saw a sales increase of 116 percent and the Dodge Durango saw an increase of 17 percent.
With the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica beginning its first sales in April and the news of the new Dodge Dart trims, the FCA brand will see sales of their new vehicles change over the next few months.
