Some time ago, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA/Stellantis) was discussing the end of the Chrysler 300 sedan. With a lineup that’s mostly minivans, this seemed like a bad idea, pigeonholing the automaker into a single-vehicle segment. There was some chatter about a Chrysler battery-electric crossover, but we haven’t heard much about it. Either way, Chrysler is taking an axe to the Chrysler 300. Setting the end of its production for December 31, 2023, consumers only have a small window to order this sedan before it’s gone for good. Like the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, 2023 ends an era of vehicles for the Stellantis lineup. The Chrysler 300C is just the latest on the list.

“Chrysler brand is proud to mark the legacy of the Chrysler 300C as a true automotive icon, one of the original muscle cars representing bold American luxury…As we celebrate the last HEMI-powered 300C off the line with our Brampton team members, we’re also excited to work together as the Chrysler brand moves forward to a sustainable all-electric future as part of the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.” – Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand chief executive officer

The 2023 Chrysler 300 came back for one last round, and now it’s going to be gone. There was a limited edition model to send it off, but the order window is over. It’s a shame, because this baby came with a new 6.4-liter HEMI® engine under the hood, able to generate 485 horsepower, 475 lb-ft of torque, and accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Called the 300C, a 70-year legacy came to an end. Only 2000 units were made available, and sold out in just 12 hours. It’s a shame, but the 300 is still around for a few weeks, available with the option of a 3.6-liter V6 engine able to generate 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, or a 5.7-liter V8 engine able to produce a best-in-class 363 horsepower.

Dating back to 1955, and reborn in 2005, the Chrysler 300 sedan is an icon of American luxury and performance. This car looked like a James Bond car, and the interior was just as stylish. Yes, there were times then the Chrysler 300 model disappeared from the lineup, but it came back better than ever. All kinds of upgrades came to the exterior, including power heated mirrors, exterior mirrors with courtesy lamps and supplemental turn signals, and automatic Bi-Xenon headlamps. Inside, power driver and passenger seats, and ventilated front seats, heated front seats and second-row seats, and the option to add a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and a heated steering wheel were also added. Consumers could go even further with special packages, such as the Comfort Group Package and Popular Equipment Package for all sorts of add-ons.

Ending before the Uconnect 5 infotainment system became the standard, the 2023 Chrysler 300 comes standard with the last-generation Uconnect 4C on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, and integrated voice command are also included. Select trims also came with some of the latest advanced safety features at the time, such as Full-speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Adaptive Cruise Control-Plus with Full Stop, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Path detection.

Now that all is said and done, the Chrysler 300 ends with 2023. Find your Chrysler 300 at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram before it’s gone for good.
