The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee expands its lineup with a total of nine trims – Laredo A, Laredo, Laredo X, Altitude, Altitude X, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. The last three trims are locked into a 4×4 drivetrain, but the rest of the lineup can come with a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain. Under the hood is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine, optimized with variable valve timing (VVT) and electronic stop-start (ESS) for fuel economy, able to generate 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine offers a total towing capacity of 6200 pounds. Most of the lineup can upgrade to a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine, able to generate 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. This engine offers a total towing capacity of 7200 pounds.

Driving and Handling

All trims come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine delivers 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. If you upgrade to the HEMI, the fuel economy is 14/22 mpg city/highway.
