Engine Type

The 2024 Jeep Compass has five trims – Sport, Latitude, Latitude Lux, Limited, and Trailhawk. All are powered by a 2.0-liter I4 DOHC turbo engine with Stop/Start technology, able to produce 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted through an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the standard towing capacity is 2000 pounds.

Driving and Handling

A selec-terrain management system is standard across the lineup. Available is a Jeep® Active Drive Low 4×4 system that offers a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range modes for a taste of adventure. The Trail-rated Trailhawk® is everything good about Jeep in a smaller package.

Exterior Features

Heated exterior mirrors are standard (plus supplemental turn signals on the Limited and Trailhawk trims), plus automatic headlamps, LED reflector headlamps, and deep=tint sunscreen glass are standard. Past the base, automatic high-beam headlamp-control, and plus Altitude bi-function LED projector headlamps and LED tail lamps, power liftgate, rain-sensitive windshield wipers, and black side roof rails are available. 17-inch wheels are the standard, changing to 18-inch wheels starting with the Limited trim, with 19-inch wheels available on select trims.

Interior Features

The standard upholstery is cloth, followed by premium cloth past the base, leatherette on the Latitude and Limited, and premium leather on the Trailhawk. A 6-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat with the possibility to upgrade to a 2-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 60/40 folding rear seat. Past the Latitude, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof are standard, able to add 2-way power-adjustable lumbar support on the driver’s seat and ventilated front seats on the Limited and Trailhawk trims. A dual-zone a/c automatic climate control system is an optional add-on available past the base trim.

Entertainment

Uconnect 5 on a 10.1-inch touchscreen display is the standard, plus navigation past the Latitude trim. All trims are capable of Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, Alexa Built-in (with Wi-Fi), and come with A SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot trials, Jeep Connected Services, steering wheel-mounted audio control. HD Radio is available past the latitude trim. A six-speaker sound system is standard across the lineup, able to upgrade to a premium Alpine® speaker sound system.

Safety Features and Warranty

Standard features in the 2024 Jeep Compass consist of an advanced multistage front airbag system with supplemental airbags all around the cabin, stability and traction control systems, an enhanced accident response system, and a LATCH-ready child seat anchor system. Advanced safety features included standard are blind-spot and cross-path detection, full-speed forward-collision warning plus, a ParkView® and rear back-up camera. Past the base, consumers can add a 360-degree view camera system, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, a parallel & perpendicular park & unpark assist feature, and a ParkSense® front and rear-park assist system.

All Jeep vehicles are covered by a 3-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty, a 5-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for five years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through coverage for five years or 100,000 miles.
