2021 Chrysler Pacifica
A new year, a new model. The Chrysler Pacifica minivan keeps kicking into the 2021 model year. With more and more awards racking up, this is the minivan for families to get. Check out all of the Chrysler Pacifica has to offer yours.
Engine Type and Trims
Now that the Chrysler Pacifica has been split into two different models, that leaves four trims for the 2021 lineup: Touring, Touring L, Limited with all-wheel drive (AWD) and Pinnacle with AWD. All four trims come with the same powertrain under the hood, a 3.6-liter V6 engine with Electric Start-Stop (ESS) to help with conserving fuel. Able to generate 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, the Chrysler Pacifica has a nine-speed automatic transmission.
With two available powertrains, front-wheel drive (FWD) or AWD, fuel efficiency may vary. The estimated EPA for Pacifica models with AWD however is not available. For consumers getting regular FWD, they can expect about 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Judging by that, AWD may not be far off, especially seeing as how it’s not a full-time drivetrain, but engages when the rear-wheels need a little more traction.
With only four trims, Pacifica makes sure its base trim (touring) is bare bones. All trims except the base trim comes with power exterior mirrors with a heating element to clear up fog, automatic headlamps, front and rear LED lamps, splash guards, and rain sensitive windshield wipers in the front and rear. The Limited AWD and Pinnacle AWD come with auto-mirrors with memory installed. The base trim comes with 17-inch wheels standard, with 18- and 20-inch available options. The Touring and Limited come with 18-inch wheels standard, 20-inch optional. The Pinnacle comes standard with 20-inch wheels.
Again, the base Touring is the only trim to come with cloth bucket seats, whereas the rest of the lineup gets leather perforated bucket seats, but the entire lineup has heated front seats. Going back to the pattern of bare-bones base trims, the rest of the lineup comes with a third-row Stow ‘n Go 60/40 bench, powered driver seats with memory, heated second-row seats, A/C with automatic three-zone temperature control, and a rearview auto dim mirror. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof comes with the Touring and Touring L trims, whereas a tri pane panoramic sunroof comes with the Limited and Pinnacle trims. The Limited and Pinnacle also come with ventilated front seats.
Set up with the next-generation of Uconnect 5 on a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, Chrysler Pacifica owners get the best-of-the-best in technology. A Blue-Ray/DVD player system, seatback video screens, wireless headphones, a six-speaker sound system, and a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel are all standard. Past the base trim, the Pacifica comes with Uconnect Navigation, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, steering wheel mounted controls, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, connected travel and traffic services, HD radio, voice command with Bluetooth, and a FamCam interior camera. A 13 Alpine speaker system is available on the Touring L, standard on the Limited, and an 18 Harman Kardon speaker system with a subwoofer is available on the Limited, standard on the Pinnacle.
