2021 Chrysler Pacifica Lands on Cars.com Top-Five Back to School List

We made it people; we’re closing in on the final quarter of 2020, finally!. Hopefully 2021 will be better, but until then, there’s still many automobile awards and “Best of” lists being published every month. Although going back to school is a complex and highly-debated topic, there are usually lists for the best vehicles for college grads or students new to the college experience and need to get around town for groceries without bumming off rides. The most recent of these lists comes from Cars.com, with their Top-five Family-friendly Vehicles for the New School Year list. When talking about “family-friendly”, we’re pretty sure everyone’s pointing a finger at the Chrysler Pacifica, and they’d be right. The Chrysler Pacifica minivan made the list.
“Back to school looks very different for families this year because of the ongoing pandemic…Because of this, parents are turning to their personal vehicles as the best mode of transport for kids returning to in-person learning. The Chrysler Pacifica provides families spending more time in the car a comfortable escape with a spacious interior to carry extra supplies or snacks and digital features to entertain while traveling to-and-from school and beyond.” – Jenni Newman, editor-in-chief, Cars.com
With the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica just around the corner, there is so much more to look forward to. Already available features include seven- and available eight-passenger seating with plenty of room and seating configurations for social distancing, offers available rear-seat Uconnect Theater with built-in games to keep kids busy, and can even come with a Wi-Fi hotspot. The next model year just builds on top of this.
With already over 100 standard and available safety and security features, including five LATCH child seat positions (although the safest position is facing the rear seatback while strapped into the rear seat), Stow ‘n Go second-row in-floor storage bins allow for more cargo space and the available Stow ‘n Vac makes cleaning up kid-generated messes a breeze. The 2021 model year adds more safety features, available new all-wheel drive (AWD) for all kinds of weather conditions, four new games added to Uconnect Theater, a new FamCAM for checking on rear passengers, and segment-first USB Type C ports for a faster charging time.
If Cars.com isn’t a familiar name, and it should be, CARS is a leading digital marketplace and solutions provider for the automotive industry, founded in 1998. Providing potential consumers with the data, resources, and digital tools to make informed decisions about purchasing a new vehicle. Always curating new data, the Cars.com Top-five Family-friendly Vehicles for the New School Year list was made using new survey data that highlights parents’ decisions on safe back-to-school transportation. The data showed that 55-percent of parents are planning to drive their children to school instead of relying on school buses and public transit, most likely due to the lack of social distancing, enclosed spaces, and an inability to enforce certain rules about public safety. The number of people searching for vehicles with sunroofs has gone up, looking for that fresh open air.
