2018 Ram Harvest Edition for Heavy-Duty Pickup Trucks
Remember back when Ram Trucks released their 2018 Ram Harvest Edition back in 2017? Made to honor the farmers of America, Ram designed this edition for the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 lineups, in all four-door Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab configurations, all box lengths, and all powertrains, including 5.7-liter Hemi V8, 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, and 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. The Ram 1500 model was the first to get the Harvest Edition in 2017, and then later the 2500 and 3500 versions were made available. Now, in 2018, Ram is bringing the Harvest Edition back for other trucks found in its lineup – the heavy-duty pickup trucks and Chassis Cab.
Known for getting tough jobs done, it only makes sense to add the Harvest Edition to the Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500. These vehicles could tow up to 31,000 pounds when properly equipped. To make them even better, the Harvest Edition has been made available for the Ram 3500 in both, a single-rear wheel and dual-rear wheel configuration, and the 4500 and 5500 with either a 60-inch or 80-inch cab-to-axle length. The Ram Chassis Cabs, basically powerful cabs waiting to be modified, may be the best choice for those with a lot of land and a lot to do in a day’s work.
“Addressing a direct request from farmers, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer Chassis Cab commercial trucks in colors that match two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation…The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab delivers high capability and gives farming families a way to show their agricultural brand loyalty.” – Jim Morrison, Head of Ram Brand – FCA North America.
When it comes to designing a trucks for farmers, Ram was sure to add all kinds of functional features as well as high-tech to make a day in the sun a little easier. The Harvest Edition Chassis Cab comes with large front tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps, and a rear back-up camera. The Harvest Edition itself offers 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen radio with navigation, 4G Wi-Fi capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fingertip access to smartphone map mirroring, and Sirius Weather with up-to-the minute weather maps and forecasts customizable to any location in the nation. For a little comfort, the interior also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering-wheel audio controls, and a power-sliding rear window (Crew Cab only)
For a little style, the Ram Harvest Edition comes with chrome highlights, including the grille, side-steps, door handles, and mirrors, and polished aluminum wheels to enhance all four corners (18-inch on 3500 models, 19.5-inch on 4500 and 5500 models). Consumers may choose one of four colors to personalize their truck, including Case Red, New Holland Blue, Bright White, and Brilliant Black. Any of these can complement body-color or Bright Silver wheel flares and an upper fascia (3500 only).
The MSRP isn’t too bad for these trucks with the Harvest Edition. For the Ram 3500, the MSRP starts at $43,990*. The Harvest Edition on the Ram 4500 has a starting MSRP of $48,140*, and then there’s the Ram 5500 MSRP that starts at $49,240*. Interested in yours?
