The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica lineup consists of six trims – the Chrysler Pacifica L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited trim. Every Pacifica model is powered by a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that has variable valve timing technology. With the exception of the base trim, the Pacifica L, the Pacifica’s engine has “Electric Start-Stop” (ESS) technology, that helps to conserve fuel when the engine is idle.
Fuel Economy and Towing
The Chrysler Pacifica is one of the most fuel efficient minivans on the market, and that’s thanks to its engine and class-exclusive TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission. The Pacifica has an average fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. In addition to contributing to a good fuel economy, the Pacifica’s transmission also produces a significant amount of torque (262 lb-ft of torque), and that contributes to the Pacifica’s maximum towing capacity of 3,600 pounds.
The Chrysler Pacifica is stylish, and the optional running boards and splash guards by Mopar add a little more style and functionality. Plus, the Pacifica Limited comes with a tri-pane panoramic sunroof standard for some fresh air on the road. Select trims have the option to add on a black or chrome stow ‘n place roof rack for making better use of the Pacifica’s cargo capacity.
Convenient exterior features available consist of mirrors that auto adjust when driving in reverse, exterior mirrors with memory, a hands-free power liftgate, and hands-free power sliding doors. Features that are standard for the lineup include automatic headlamps, heated exterior mirrors, manual sliding doors, and 17-inch wheels. Other Pacifica trims may be able to ride on 18-inch or 20-inch wheels. There are a total of eight body color choices. Don’t forget about the new blacked-out package for the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica.
The Chrysler Pacifica has seating for seven or eight passengers. The upholstery and design starts with cloth bucket seats for the first and second row and a cloth-trimmed bench seat for the third row. Leather upholstery is an available option on a few different trims. Added to the lineup in 2017 and still available in 2018 is the new Pacifica Touring Plus trim, a high-end trim that comes with cloth upholstery for consumers who still want high-end comfort and convenience but prefer cloth versus animal leather.
