If there’s one thing we can tell from all of the details that FCA released about the new 2017 models and updates on the Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Chrysler lineups, it’s clear they are focusing  on improving family cars, SUVs and trucks. Here is a very quick rundown of the new features, models and trims that will be coming to the Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram showroom in 2017.

For the 2017 model year, Dodge is making a lot of changes to their sedans and performance cars. Dodge ended production on the Dodge Dart this month (September), and in 2017, production on the Dodge Viper will come to an end, and Dodge has plans to introduce two new Charger trims and five new Challenger trims — wow.

While Dodge is expanding the Challenger and Charger lineup, they are actually condensing the model lineups of the Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan. Though each of the lineups are shrinking by one or two trims, all three models will now have a sportier top-level GT trim. Downsizing the variety of trims means that Dodge is adding and improving the features that are available on the remaining models.

Continually perfecting their line of SUVs, the Jeep lineup is also getting some additions and losing some trims on their lineup. The Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot models have both been reduced to two well-equipped and affordably-priced trims. In 2017, the Wrangler lineup has trimmed down their limited-edition models, leaving buyers with a selection of five off-roading models.

Expanding upon their off-roading roots, a Trailhawk trim will join the Jeep Grand Cherokee lineup, as it already has on the Cherokee and Renegade lineups. The new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be equipped with a higher ground clearance, improved suspension and a variety of off-roading equipment that sets it apart from other Grand Cherokee models.

There’s not too much news with Chrysler as their big 2017 news, the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, which already debuted earlier this year. Replacing the Town & Country, the all-new Pacifica is an innovative minivan offering drivers an excellent fuel economy, a spacious interior and modern tech features. In addition to the standard convenient Stow ‘n Go seating on all Pacifica trims, the Pacifica is also available with a built-in vacuum cleaner, so parents and kids will never have a reason not to have a clean minivan.

However, there is a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid that is still waiting to debut. This will be the first-ever hybrid minivan and it is expected to come to dealerships this fall!

Ram truck brand will rumble into 2017 with a line of super powerful and durable trucks. To start things off, this fall Ram will release the 2017 Ram Power Wagon, which is a mean, lean, off-roading machine. Equipped with a 33-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, Bilstein Shocks that help to give it 14-inch ground clearance, and powered a Best-In-Class 410-horsepower 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, the Ram Power Wagon is a beast.

Continuing with the powertrip, a standard 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine will be standard on the Ram 2500 and 3500 Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims, and the towing capacity of all Ram Chassis Cab configurations is increasing by 1,000 pounds.

Don’t go far, we’ll be filling you in with more details on the newest models and features that are coming to 2017 models. In the meantime, you can search the current Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram inventory here.
