Wow, what a year for celestial events this has been. The recent solar flare made for some beautiful nights in Alaska, but the cold, icy temperatures were almost unbearable. Earlier this week, we got another eclipse over here in America on April 8, 2024. Depending on where you were, it was also really hot out. What would make both of these wonders a better experience? Being able to view them from the comfort of your climate-controlled car with a sunroof. The 2024 Jeep® Grand Cherokee has it covered, and also offers an L model with three rows.

Did you know that the “Northern Lights”, also known as the “Aurora Borealis”, are not what we see in the media? We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the northern lights are not visible to the naked eye. Whatever is happening between the Earth’s magnetic shield and a solar flare is an amazing event on a geological level and an interesting way the Earth protects itself from the heat. The only way to see it is through a camera – yes, the image above is what the camera lens captures, not the naked eye – and it would have been really nice to know that beforehand.

Hanging out in a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat standard would have been a great way to avoid the bone-chilling temperatures. Plus, options for a dual-zone automatic climate control system a 4-zone system, and a power sunroof are available. Past the base trim, heated front seats are also standard in the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which can really help to keep warm if you want to catch this one on camera.

Now, that recent solar eclipse. Wow! We know the above image doesn’t do it justice, but what a crazy event that was. 2 pm and the sky above is as dark as night, and it feels like one of those fantasy movie scenes where some casts an amazing spell. Ooh, Marvel’s Moon Knight on Disney+ had something similar. The totality of the 2024 solar eclipse had a pretty long path along many states in the U.S., but almost everywhere around this time of year is heating up. Spring is officially here, and in South Florida, it may as well be an early summer. The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee also offers ventilated front seats and ventilated second-row seats (reserved for the Summit Reserve trim) to keep cool.

Also, the time it takes for a solar eclipse to happen is a long time. Between the first partial eclipse to a total eclipse was about an hour or so. If taking a trip to a park or somewhere special to view the eclipse, there is enough space for everyone in the family to get together with the Jeep Grand Cherokee L model, the first-ever Jeep to feature three rows for a total seating capacity of seven passengers. Still featuring all the same great qualities as the original Jeep Grand Cherokee, every trim offers a way to pass the time, with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capability, Jeep Connected services, a trial a 4G LTE Wi-FI hotspot and a trial for SiriusXM Satellite Radio come standard.

The next solar eclipse won’t be for about 20 years, but there’s still plenty of time to catch a meteor shower or two if you know where to look in South Florida for less light pollution. Why not spend that time with family, or a romantic partner, laying down in a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee under the stars under a dual-pane panoramic sunroof? It’s magical.
