The 2024 lineup consists of the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims. Powering the first three trims of the lineup is a 6.4-liter V8 Heavy-Duty HEMI® engine, optimized with a multi-displacement system (MDS) for optimal fuel economy, able to generate 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. It has a maximum payload of 7690 pounds (when properly equipped) and a maximum towing capacity of 18,210 pounds (when properly equipped). Optional across the lineup is a 6.7-liter I6 Cummins HO Turbo Diesel engine, able to generate 420 horsepower and 1075 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum payload of 6560 pounds (when properly equipped) and a maximum towing capacity of 37,090 pounds (when properly equipped). Only the Limited Longhorn and Limited trims are powered by the 6.7-liter I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, able to generate 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum payload of 6830 pounds (when properly equipped) and a maximum towing capacity of 22,660 pounds (when properly equipped).

Exterior Features
Standard features on the 2024 Ram 3500 HD pickup truck include manual-folding telescoping black mirrors, automatic headlamps, a courtesy lamp, tailgate-handle LED hitch lamp, rear-fixed window, and tinted glass windows and windshield glass. Past the base trim, heated exterior mirrors with supplemental turn signals and mirror running lights are standard. LED interior lighting is standard past the Big Horn, bi-function projector headlamps and acoustic front door glass are standard past the Laramie.
Past the base trim, many optional add-ons become available on select trims, such as an auto-dimming exterior mirror, mirrors with memory, clearance lamps, LED bed lighting and tail lamps, front LED fog lamps, various grilles and grille covers, decals and badges, bed-step by Mopar and wheel-to-wheel side steps, power deployable running boards, the RamBox cargo management system, a tri-fold tonneau cover, and more. 18-inch wheels are the standard on the first four trims. The Limited trim comes with 20-inch wheels.
Interior Features
The 2024 Ram 3500 starts out with a 4-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat and front passenger seat, but switches to an 8-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat and front passenger seat starting with the Laramie trim. A 40/20/40 split-bench seat is standard, but turns into a 60/40 split-bench past the Big Horn trim. Heated front seats become available after the base trim, and heated second-row seats and ventilated front seats start after the Big Horn trim. Automatic climate control is an option on the base and Big Horn, but standard on the rest of the lineup. An option for the Big Horn, a heated steering wheel is standard on the rest of the lineup. The upholstery ranges from cloth to premium leather as the trim tier goes up.

The base trim (Tradesman) and Big Horn come equipped with a Uconnect 3 on a 5-inch touchscreen display, but they can both upgrade to Uconnect 5 on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, plus the option to upgrade to a 12.-inch screen and navigation (available on all trims but the Limited Longhorn). Uconnect 5 on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with navigation is standard on the Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims. Integrated voice command and Ram Connected services (with trial) are standard, plus a 4-speaker sound system on the Tradesman, a 6-speaker sound system on the Big Horn, able to upgrade to a premium 7-speaker sound system with an amplifier.
Additions such as a 4G LTE Wi-Fit Hot Spot (with trial), Alexa Built-In (requires Fi), Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, HD Radio, and Sirius XM Satellite Radio (trial) are capable with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Steering wheel-mounted controls are standard starting with the Laramie, optional on the Tradesman and Big Horn trims. A 9 Alpine® speaker sound system with a subwoofer is standard on the Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims, able to upgrade to a 17-speaker Harman Kardon® premium sound system.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2024 Ram 3500 HD comes with many basic safety features, such as advanced multistage front airbags, supplemental front-mounted and side-curtain airbags, traction and stability control systems, a ParkView backup camera, trailer sway damping, and trailer brake control. A list of advanced safety systems can be added as an upgrade, such as blind-spot with tag-trailing & cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control with stop, full-speed forward-collision warning plus, lane-keep assist, and a surround-view camera system. Only the Laramie trim comes with a ParkSense rear park-assist system. All trims come with various trailer-specific features available, such as reverse steering control.
All-new Ram trucks are covered by a basic 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile diesel powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile gas powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for 5 years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through warranty for 5 years and unlimited miles.
