Powertrain

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has six trims this model year – Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and High Altitude. Powering the entire lineup is a 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo PHEV engine, comprised of a 2.0-liter I4 DOHC engine optimized with direct injection (DI) able to generate 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque and a 400V lithium-ion battery pack. Together, they have an output of 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is also the standard for the whole lineup.

Driving Range and 4×4

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s fuel economy is a combined MPG equivalent of 49, with a total driving range of 370 miles. A 2:72:1 Selec-Trac® full-time 4WD system is standard on the first three trims and High Altitude trims, able to automatically switch seamlessly between two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). A 4:1 Rock-Trac® heavy-duty full-time 4WD system is standard on the Rubicon and Rubicon X trims, able to offer a 4:1 low-gear ratio that delivers a Best-in-Class 100:1 crawl ratio.

Exterior Features

Standard features on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe include heated exterior mirrors, automatic headlamps, front fog lamps, front door tinted glass, a premium Sunrider® soft top, deep-tint sunscreen windows, tinted windshield glass, and windshield with Corning® Gorilla® glass. Past the base trim, LED front fog lamps and LED Premium Reflector Headlamps are standard, and past the Willys trim, LED tail lamps are standard – both available on the lower-tier trims. Automatic High-Beam Headlamp-Control is available on the first four trims, standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims.

A rear window wiper/washer is available on the first four trims, standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims. A 3-piece hard top is standard on the Rubicon X, and a Sky One-touch® power-top is standard on the High Altitude trim. An acoustic laminated front door glass is standard only on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims. Various trims can also opt-in for additional equipment and accessories from the automaker and Mopar. 20-inch wheels are the standard, but the Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon X trims come with 17-inch wheels.

Interior Features

Cloth upholstery is the standard, followed by premium cloth in the Rubicon trim, and then Nappa leather in the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims. A 6-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way manually-adjustable lumbar support is the standard, replaced by an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way power-adjustable lumbar support in the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims. A 4-way manually-adjustable front passenger seat is the standard, replaced by an 8-way manually-adjustable front passenger seat and 4-way power-adjustable lumbar support.

Heated front seats are available in the Willys trim, standard in the rest of the trims. A rear 60/40 folding seat, premium-wrapped steering wheel, ambient LED interior lighting, and automatic temperature control are lineup standards. A leather-wrapped shift knob and heated steering wheel are standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims.

Entertainment

Uconnect® 5 on a 12.3-inch touchscreen is the standard on the first four trims, replaced by Uconnect® 5 with NAV on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims, available as an upgrade on the lower tier trims. Also included standard are a 4G LTE Wi-FI hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capability, hands-free phone and audio, Jeep connected services, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and 360L with a trial, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. HD Radio and integrated voice command are available for the first four trims, standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims. An 8-speaker sound system is standard on the first four trims, with an Alpine® premium audio system is standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims, an available upgrade on the lower tier trims.

Safety Features and Warranty

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe comes with many basic safety features, such as multistage advanced airbags, traction and stability controls, a Sentry Key theft deterrent system, and a ParkView rear backup camera. Advanced safety features that come standard include adaptive cruise control with stop, and full-speed forward-collision warning plus. Available are blind-spot and cross-path detection and a ParkSense® rear park-assist system are available on the first four trims, standard on the Rubicon X and High Altitude trims.

All Jeep vehicles are covered by a basic 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for 5 years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through coverage for 5 years or 100,000 miles. There is also a 10 Year/100,000 Miles warranty on the 4xe high voltage battery.
