2023 Jeep Renegade
The Jeep Renegade has been a staple of the off-road automaker known for its capability and Trail Rated performance. Right up there with the Wrangler, the Renegade is a popular model and was one of the first to get a 4xe variant. Going onto 2023, the lineup has decreased, but there are many of packages and groups consumers can add for a little more pizazz! With some old features and some new, the Renegade returns for 2023.

For 2023, there Jeep Renegade lineup is made up of the Latitude, Trailhawk, and Limited trim. All three seem to only be available with a 4×4 drivetrain this year. The lineup could technically be expanded if counting the Latitude with the Altitude Package, Latitude (RED) Edition, and the Limited with the High Altitude Package. Regardless, all trims are 1.3-liter I4 turbocharged MAir engine with electric start-stop (ESS), capable of generating a total of 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Driving and Handling
The fuel economy offered is the same across the lineup – 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Because all trims are locked into a 4×4 drivetrain, they all come with Jeepās Select-Terrain Traction Management System, able to change the settings for driving on snow, sand, or mud. The Trailhawk also gets a Rock selection for rock-crawling.
Style
Exterior Features
Some standard features return, such as heated exterior mirrors, a rear window wiper/washer, and deep-tint sunscreen glass. Past the Latitude trim, automatic headlamps are also standard, along with black side roof rails. Many new options can also be found in add-on packages and groups. The standard wheel size is 17 inches, with 18-inches for the Latitude with the Altitude package, and 19-inches on the Latitude with the (RED) package.
Interior Features
Cloth upholstery remains the standard with bucket seats in the front row and a 60/40 folding seat in the rear. Leather upholstery comes standard in the Limited trim, and is an available option in the Trailhawk. Some standard features include automatic dual-zone temperature control, a six-way manual adjustable drive seat (power-adjustable available on all trims but the Limited trim, and an 8-way power adjustable standard in the Trailhawk trim) steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and all-season floor mats. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are available add-ons for all trims, standard on the Limited trim. All trims can add a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
New for 2023
If consumers want to add onto the Latitude trim, a Premium Group adds an auto-dim rear mirror, power eight-way driverās seat with two-way lumbar adjuster, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, windshield wiper deicer, roof rails, and cornering fog lamps. The Latitude trim with the High Altitude Package adds 19-inch Granite Crystal painted aluminum wheels, Gloss Black badges and Neutral Grey grille rings. Latitude (RED) comes with special edition adds Colorado Red mirror caps, 19-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels, and unique (RED) badging added to the exterior. Inside, the Latitude (RED) has black cloth bucket seats with Ski Gray stitching, a Ruby Red speaker and vent bezels, plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel, console, and shifter knob.
The Limited trim can add an Elite Group for extra features, including LEDs for all exterior lighting – cornering front fog lamps, bi-functional projector headlamps, taillamps, and daytime running lamps ā auto high-beam headlamps, parallel/perpendicular park assist with full stop, and a windshield wiper deicer. The Trailhawk gets two group options ā (1) a Trailhawk Elite Group that adds leather-trimmed seats, power eight-way driverās seat with two-way lumbar adjuster, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and windshield wiper deicer; and a (2) Premium Lighting Group that also adds full-suite of LED exterior lighting.

The standard setup for every trim in the 2023 Jeep Renegade lineup is Uconnect 4C on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD radio, Bluetooth hands-free calling, voice command, streaming audio, and SiriusXM Radio. A six-speaker audio system is the standard, with a premium audio system available on all trims.
Safety Features and Warranty
All 2023 Jeep Renegade trims come with an advanced multistage front airbag system with supplemental airbags all around the cabin, stability and traction control systems, an enhanced accident response system, a ParkView rear backup camera, and a LATCH-ready child seat anchor system. Advanced safety features include blind spot and cross path detection, lane departure warning plus, and full-speed collision warning plus. Adaptive cruise control is only standard on the Limited trim.
All Jeep vehicles are covered by a 3-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty, a 5-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for five years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through coverage for five years or 100,000 miles.
