2023 Jeep Compass
Joining the rest of Stellantis in going electric, Jeep will soon unveil its all-electric off-road warrior. As it does so, it’s also committing to what the automaker is known for. Many if not all 2023 models are being sold with a 4×4 drivetrain only. No need to guess the price difference or capability of these Jeep models. The same statement goes for the 2023 Jeep Compass. 2.4-liter MultiAir Engine

The 2023 Compass lineup is slightly tweaked, now made up of the Sport, Latitude, Latitude Lux, Limited (with Altitude and RED packages for added flair), and Trailhawk trims. A new engine has replaced the Tigershark powertrain, now set up with a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, able to generate 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. This is the standard on all trims, along with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
4×4 Off-Road Systems
All 2023 Jeep Compass trims come with a Select-Terrain Traction Management system for driving on Snow, Sport, and Sand/Mud. Every trim comes equipped with Jeep Acrive Drive, featuring a rear axle disconnect that seamlessly switches between two- and four-wheel drive to help increase traction. Only the Trailhawk comes with Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 and a class-leading 20:1 crawl.
Starting with the Latitude trim, the 2023 Jeep Compass comes with Automatic high-beam headlamp control, plus bi-function LED projector headlamps. All trims are equipped with heated exterior mirrors, some form of solar control glass, deep tint sunscreen glass, and a rear window wiper/washer. Past the base, trims also feature rain-sensitive windshield wipers, and roof rails. The new wheel size standards is 17-inches across the lineup, with new 17-inch wheels for the Sport and Latitude trims.
Cloth upholstery is the standard for the Sport trim, cloth and vinyl on the Latitude, and leather upholstery on the rest of the lineup. Past the base Sport trim, the 2023 Jeep Compass adds heated front seats (available), dual-zone automatic climate control, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a heated steering wheel, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The Trailhawk could also come equipped with ventilated front seats. All trims come with a 60/40 split-folding rear bench. Starting with the Latitude Lux, trims can add a power 8-way adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way power adjustable lumbar support. Only the Trailhawk is equipped with driver-seat memory.
The new 2023 Jeep Compass lineup standard is Uconnect 5 on a 10.1-touchscreen display. Navigation is available for the Limited trim, standard on the Trailhawk trim. Standard across the lineup are also 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Google Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and steering wheel mounted audio controls. HD Radio and integrated voice-command are only available on select trims. A six speaker system is the standard, with a premium Alpine speaker system available on most of the lineup.
Safety Features and Warranty
All 2023 Jeep Compass trims come with standard safety features such as advanced multistage front airbags, supplemental front seat-mounted and side-curtain airbags, all-speed traction control, electronic stability control, an engine immobilizer, a panic alarm, a LATCH-ready child seat anchor system, and a ParkView backup camera. Some advanced safety features are also standard, including blind-spot and cross-path detection, full-speed forward collision warning plus, and blind spot with cross-path detection. Past the base, trims also come with a ParkSense front and rear park-assist system, a 360-degree camera, a parallel & perpendicular parking system, and adaptive cruise control become standard or available add-ons for the 2023 Jeep Compass.
All Jeep vehicles are covered by a basic 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for 5 years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through coverage for 5 years or 100,000 miles.
