Design elements of the Big Horn
The Ram 1500 Big Horn trim is adding new features in 2020, including 18-inch aluminum wheels, a 60/40 split rear seat, and fog lights to top it off! Additional options are available as well, like the 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen that can include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Ram 1500 beats out its competition with twice the interior storage capacity, that includes pockets, storage cubbies, tie-down rings, and so much more. On top of this, with the quad cab’s great size you can also find ample room for passengers to ride in both style and comfort. The front row comes with an option for a three-place bench or twin bucket seats, while the rear seats offer slide recline, a flat-load floor with integrated RamBins, and both heated and cooling comfort. On the exterior, you can find a 6’4” cargo bed with a class-exclusive RamBox cargo management system, a bed divider, a new multifunction tailgate, and relocatable anchor points. With the mid-level Big Horn trim, you will also find additional chrome exterior features for that extra touch of style and design.
What type of power does theis model offer?
The Ram 1500 does not disappoint with its 12,750 pounds towing capability and 2,300-pound payload! You will find further improved fuel efficiency with either option of the eTorque mild hybrid system. The V-6 and V-8 engines both come with a 48-volt hybrid system, while the V-8 is available without electric support. In addition to these three engine options, there is a fourth 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel that offers 480 lb.-ft. of torque. All engine options are paired with a smooth transitioning eight-speed automatic transmission with the option of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive is available as part-time or full-time, with a two-speed transfer case each. EPA estimates say the V-6 engine will reach up to 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The V-8 engine is rated by the EPA as reaching up to 17 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
What are some of the Quad Cab’s safety features?
Safety features on the 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn include both active safety and security systems like the forward collision warning, the blind-spot monitoring, and the adaptive cruise control. Additionally, the Ram 1500 truck also comes with driver-assistance technologies that include both lane-keeping assist and automated emergency braking.
