2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Gets Brass Monkey Wheels

July 10th, 2019 by

Dodge has been adding all sorts of goodies to their iconic cars before the automaker goes electric and Dodge says goodbye to the high-performance engines the lineup is known for. Recently, the news making the rounds on the internet is the official reveal of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Now, word has it that Dodge is going to add some features from an appearance package to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody that has never been available on the Challenger before – they’re the wheels of the the Brass Monkey package.

Brass Monkey Package

The Brass Monkey Appearance Package originally only belonged to the Dodge Durango crossover. Adding a little pep to its step, the package was initially released just as an option for the Durango R/T first but eventually also added it to the GT trim level for consumers not looking to jump a $40k gap. On the Durango, the Brass Monkey Appearance Package came with a gloss paint job and gloss treatments on the grille and badges, 20-inch burnished bronze-colored aluminum wheels, black headlamp bezels and has a more sporty exterior appearance. The rest of the vehicle, the front and rear fascias, shark fin antenna, sill molding, and wheel lip all stay the same color as the body unless the driver chooses otherwise. Inside, consumers also get a sunroof, the Beats Audio sound system, and dual headrest-mounted rear video screens.

For the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with the Widebody, it’s just the wheels this time around. With enough crazy colors from the Dodge Legacy of High Impact Paint, the Challenger doesn’t really need a special appearance package or paint job. It’s just one more cool feature to add to an already cool car. The Brass Monkey painted wheels will add $995 to the MSRP of either, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat or Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Yes, consumers can get the Brass Monkey wheels on both trim levels.

Widebody Package

Let’s not forget all of the already cool additions the Widebody Package adds to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and soon the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. The Widebody package adds all of the style and aggressive looks of a Dodge SRT Demon without having to add on the supercharged 797 horsepower engine. It’s all the bark without the bite and without the large price tag. Included in the Widebody package are the aforementioned 20-inch “Devil’s Rim” aluminum wheels, extended fender flares that are added to the body to increase its width, a blacked-out rear lip spoiler, and a scalloped hood. If consumers wish, the wheels can also come wrapped in optional Pirelli P Zero summer tires is looking for that extra grip.

Don’t forget, for 2019, the R/T Scat Pack can also get the Widebody package. The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack also comes with features found in the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and SRT Hellcat trims – launch control, launch assist, line lock, and SRT drive modes. All of that for a much lower price. The Scat Pack even comes with its own Angry Bee 1320 Package for 2019. As we said, Dodge is pulling out all the stops.
